Portal and dock-door antennas are wall- or frame-mounted and aimed to define a controlled read zone; overhead antennas use ceiling mounts. Confirm the connector before ordering: changing the interface later means either an adapter, which adds a mismatch and a failure point, or a re-terminated cable.
